Biography
Formed in Fort McMurray, Alberta in 2003, Desiderata is the brotherhood of Blair Drover, Laine Cherkewick and Jerome Tovillo. Since their inception Desiderata's song writing has remained natural and effortless, and their intensity on stage growing more fierce and spontaneous with each show.

In 2006 they enlisted Canadian punk rock legend turned producer, Jesse Gander at the Hive studios (Hot Hot Heat, Red Light Sting, Ladyhawk, Black Mountain, Pretty Girls Make Graves) to record their first full length "We Are Not Convinced There Has Been Any Improvement."

Soon after the band relocated to Edmonton and were immediately signed to 'Champion City Records'. The album was released in early 2007 and quickly shot up the Canadian radio charts, debuting at 17 on the Earshot Top 50.

Desiderata has toured extensively across Canada from Vancouver to Montreal and have played along side such as bands as: Monotonix, You Say Party! We Say Die!, They Shoot Horses Don't They?, Miracle Fortress, Shapes & Sizes, and New York's Think About Life.

The band is soon to release their hotly anticipated followup, "Alcohawk," recorded once again by the band's biggest supporter and Canadian punk legend Jesse Gander.
